SHORT BIO
In the past two years, Zach Hamelton transitioned out of film and television full-time to a career as a Public Information Officer for a public safety department in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Recently certified as a Master PIO through FBI-LEEDA, he now applies his storytelling expertise to bridge the gap between first responders and the public.
Before stepping into public safety, Zach spent almost a decade in film and television, working as a VFX producer and production manager on nearly 50 projects, including Mulan, Star Trek: Picard, and Justice League. He collaborated with Marvel, National Geographic, and PBS, managed multi-million-dollar budgets, and led production on Halo: Outpost Discovery, a groundbreaking interactive experience. His passion for storytelling also led him to teach at the Digital Animation and Visual Effects School.
Now, Zach blends creativity with strategy, producing compelling content, managing media relations, and shaping crisis communications—ensuring every story leaves an impact.
